In addition to the learning that happens in the playspace, recess offers children a variety of opportunities for more structured learning through kids classes. Classes open to members & non members. playspace: play is how children learn. recess’s 3200 sq ft developmentally-rich playspace is dedicated to providing an environment that children ages 0-5 can engage in free play. through play, children learn to build structures and relationships. pretend play builds vocabularies and character. active play builds muscles and cooperative skills. playing games builds skills of patience and strategy. scheduling playtime for children should be a priority, not a postscript. recess members may access the space anytime recess is open. membership also includes priority sign-ups for kids classes and parent ed workshops, childcare during fitness classes or massage appts, & invites to special family events! come play!!photos/Pages/recess_playspace.htmlphotos/Pages/recess_playspace.htmlwhat_is_recess.htmlshapeimage_16_link_0shapeimage_16_link_1
parent education: Recess hosts lectures by a variety of local professionals in an effort to provide support through education. Are you ready to get into shape? What do you do when they...?
