Are you ready to introduce your child to new kiddos, get a little support as a new parent, and learn a thing or two? Join us just to play, just to learn...or both.

PLAY: Join us on Friday afternoons between 2-5:30 pm in the playspace.

LEARN: From 3-5pm, child development guru, Amanda Hyer, will be on hand to facilitate the group and hold casual Q&A sessions. Bring your baby & your questions!

Here’s the scoop....
Starting a family is an exciting, precious time. It can also be trying and challenging in ways that we don't often like to admit. Recess is proud to offer this special playtime in collaboration with Amanda K. Hyer for 0-11 month olds.

These proactive parenting playgroups are a resource for helping you and your child during this ever changing time. Through casual Q&A’s we can explore current areas of your child's development and strategies on how to prepare yourself, your child and your home for the exciting times to come.

Non-members are welcome too--but should sign up ahead of time on line or at the front desk, as space is limited (cost is $10).

How to Help Toddlers Sleep workshop covers topics such as:
• Transition from crib to toddler bed
• Potty training and sleeping
• Nightmares and sleep
• Preschool and sleep
• New baby/sibling jealousy and sleep
• Sleep needs of toddlers
• Developmental milestones impact on toddler sleep
• Moving a toddler out of the family bed

Take an hour of time for yourself, while your child plays in the playspace (with childcare!). Elements of Anusara, Vinyasa flow, Ashtanga and life are incorporated to create dynamic, challenging, fun classes. Jody Hahn, the instructor, enjoys teaching students of all ability levels and focuses on creating a safe practice by using verbal and hands-on adjustments for correct alignment.

In order to accommodate varying skill levels Jody is adept at recommending alternative poses and pose modifications. Her classes are sprinkled with humor and emphasize yoga as a vehicle for awareness and transformation of mind, body and spirit.

• What: hour long yoga class of mindfulness that you can carry off your mat and into your life. Bring your own mat, if you have one. Limited number of childcare spots available!
