Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation
Kristin Jamieson, MSPT
Kristin’s philosophy is to focus on evaluating the source of pain and discomfort and treat it through manual methods such as myofascial release, trigger point, soft and deep tissue massage, muscle energy techniques, and joint mobilization. Kristin believes that teaching people how to move from a place of strength and stability will lead to decreased injury and pain. Kristin is also a certified Pilates instructor and finds great benefit in combining Pilates based rehab with traditional physical therapy based exercises.

Please join us for this workshop and conversation about Mindful Parenting. Practicing a mindful approach to parenting can help us to manage stress in family and work life, help us to be more present with our children, and experience more calmness and joy. Mindfulness is moment to moment, non judgmental awareness of our thoughts and feelings. With mindfulness comes clarity, compassion, and creativity. Mindful Parenting helps us see our children clearly and enables our children to fully experience themselves in the moment.

Many of us panic about the things that can go wrong, especially after kids arrive on the scene. Many of us have had these to-do's on our list for too long: get a valid Will in place, talk to an attorney about getting things in order in case something happens. Maybe you don't have the time, or maybe the cost is just too much right now.
Attorney Amy Shelf has teamed up with the folks at Recess to bring new and expectant parents a way to get the basics out of the way and organize your future—all at a thrifty, group-discount rate.
Here is how it works: you & your partner spend a morning at Recess and attend a Panic-Free Planning workshop (childcare available in the recess playspace). You'll leave with a valid Will, Financial Power of Attorney and an Advance Health Care Directive, all completed with the help and guidance of an experienced estate planning attorney. More information at www.recessurbanrecreation.com or www.amyshelf.com.
If there are specific topics about parenting, child development, or wellness that you'd like to see at Recess, please feel free to let us know and we will do our best to arrange those workshops.
